Whats up to my couple followers I have. Just got back from Florida and it was great. Drank my vacation away, thanks to dollar Ying-lings. (greatest beer ever) Anyways let’s get to it.

The Tribe

First – I have not missed a Tribe opener in like 4-5 years, but of course I have to miss the one when it is 65 and sunny in Cleveland. Go figure. Well to all those who have never made the opener, check it out. It is the best game of the year to be in Cleveland. Bars are pumpin till game time with everyone excited about baseball.

Second – How bout Casey Blake? I know we all think he is a bum, but what bum leads your team into the playoffs last year with two late inning dingers to win 2 games in the thick of a playoff race or on opening day hits a double off the wall with bases loaded that scores three runs which wins the game for the Tribe.

Third – Carmona still has it goin. This kid reminds me of Pedro Martinez in his hey day. He is gonna be great for years to come. So let C.C. walk cause his fat ass is not worth 20 million a year.

Home – Hafner divorce your wife and start taking steriods again. Where is the real PRONK at?

Quick Hitters

He’ll be back

I think Brett Favre will be back. He has yet to file his retirement papers for the NFL. Just do not believe that when you go to the NFC championship game last year and you have a great supporting cast coming back how you can just walk away. Yeah you might be mad cause you did not get Randy Moss, but I’ll take Jennings, Driver, Grant and that defense anyday.

Keep partying

Gotta love Matt Lienhart. The media says they have a problem with the pictures on the internet with him partying. Screw that the guy was at his house and atleast he is smart about it. He isn’t bringing 80,000 dollars in a garbage bag to the strip club and then shooting up the place. Not gonna get arrested drinking at your house. So Matt keep up the good work.

Stay Hot

Chris Henry – not only are you to dumb to renew your license plate, but now your accused of punching an 18 year old kid in the face. Stay hot! All the talent that you have you have just wasted cause your getting suspended. While your at it just take your boy Pac-man with you to the CFL cause your probly not coming back to the NFL.

TOURNEY TIME

I gotta go with my boys and say UNC will meet Memphis in the finals. UNC’s roster is just so deep that no one can match-up with them. From Lawson and Ellington on the outside, Mr. do it all, and Thompson down low you can’t stop them. Memphis should roll UCLA. I am not of fan of Ucla, I think they are weak. With Memphis’s brusers inside, with Rose and Douglas Roberts look out for the Tigers.

Buzzer Beater

Gotta go with the NBA here with all the talk on the Lakers winning the West. The Spurs are emerging as the best team once again. They are riding another 8 game winning streak and starting to play great ball every year like they do coming into the playoffs.

peace out all till next time, same bonaroo time, same bonaroo station

What’s up again everyone? Sorry to all those who think I am an english major and my grammer has to be perfect. Screw that I’m not writing this for a grade.

Danny Ferry

What does everyone think about Danny Ferry. Well I think he is a complete idiot. Over these past couple years he has put us in a very tough spot by blowing all of the Cavs salary cap room and hitting the luxury taxes. No wonder why we can not get any help for Bron Bron. If it wasn’t for James I think Mike Brown and Ferry would be out of jobs.

Let’s disect this a little more. Danny blew all of our cap room on signing Z, D. Marshall, Damon Jones, and Larry “I just wanna have fun” Hughes. So far Z is the only thing that has worked out. We all know that if we did not have Z the Cavs would be in serouis trouble. He has the best 18 footer in the association. The Ferry, yeah that’s right I said the Ferry, decides to trade Hughes, Dreeeeeeeeeew Gooden, D Marsh, Shannon Brown (who was a terrible first round selection), and Ira for Ben Wallace, Wally World, Dalante West, and Joe Smith. You kidding me. Way to give up and inside scorer in Gooden and a solid defender in Hughes.

Dalante West is no better than a third string point guard on another team, all Wally World does is build houses with all of his bricks, Big Ben is past his time and so is Joe Smith. Big Ben has no scoring and will have back problems the rest of the year and Joe Smith is fine off the Bench. As, for all that the Ferry gave up two starters to get a bunch of bench players. Granted he needed to keep Bron Bron happy, but he didn’t make us any better of a team. Still need an elite point guard to get over the hump. It showed last night as Chris Paul (possoble MVP) had 15 points and 20 dimes. 20 dimes? which leads me to my last point. If Chris Paul can tear us up, what is going to happen when the Cavs run into the Pistons and Chauncey Billups this year in the playoffs? I don’t see the Cavs getting past the Celtics or the Pistons this year.

MVP Talk

This has been a great year for the MVP race. Between Lebron, Kobe, and Paul. I think Bron got screwed last year, since he should have been MVP. This year my money is on Kobe or Paul. With the Lakers and the Hornets battling for first in the West I think who ever finishes with a better record will win MVP.

Quick Hitters

C. Webb – Farewll on a great career. He averaged 20 pionts, 9 boards and 4 assist a game. A big man that can score and pass and the only reason he doesn’t have a ring is because Shaq and Kobe were unstoppable with the Lakers. We all remember Webber and the Fab Five, one of the best teams in college basketball as freshman. 2 final four appearences and a timout that will haunt you forever. Not to mention when you look in the record books there will be a big blank page for michigan basket, but that’s what happens when you take money.

Jose Canseco – We realize you were once part of the bash brothers thanks to a needle that you stuck in your butt. The only thing you have left of your career is to rat on everyone else. No wonder why Major League Baseball wants nothing to do with you. Yeah you did some good work on the steriod issue. You just made it more clear to me that all the records that Bonds has should stay, because we now know it wasn’t only the big bat’s doing it, but the great pitchers too. Other than that Jose keep writing your books cause it’s the only way for you to make money or the serial life again.

Buzzer Beater

This one is for my good pal Keith. Every year around this time we start talking about who is going to be the NBA champs and everyyear for the past 4 to 5 years I got the same answer for him. I’m going with fundamentals again. I mean the Big Fundamental. Yeah that’s right Timmie, obi – one Ginobili and Tony Parker will be there again. The only way i see them not making it to the finals as if they run into a healthy Laker team with Bynum and Pau back. (The Lakers do have the best player in the NBA)

What’s up all? I am a little knew at this so we’ll see how it goes. Hope you guys like.

The Cleveland Indians

Coming off their great season of 2007, (or should i say the choke of 07) the Indians are primed and ready to make some noise again in September. Starting with the pitching staff, Ace C.C. Sabathia coming off a season in which he won 19 games and the Cy Young award should pick up where he left off last season. Let’s hope this does not happen because as we all remember he had a chance to close out the Red Sox, for the right to go to the World Series, and did not make it through the 5th inning. He should come back motivated by this and the enormous contract that he is going to recieve after this season. Fuasto Carmona, will be second in the rotation also coming off a season that he won 19 games and failed to close out the Red Sox at home in game 7 of the ALCS. Fausto being as young as he is should only get better and become the Indians ace next year. At times he is unhittable mixing up his pitches and using the best split-finger fastball in baseball. Third in the Tribe’s rotation is Brian Westbrook a solid starter who will look to start as strong as he finished last season. He has great command and mixes his pitches up forcing lots of ground ball outs. Paul Byrd is in the fourth spot and should be that solid veteran fourth starter he was last year. While he is not overpowering by any means he hits is spots and keeps the Indians in position to win games. The fifth spot should be Cliff Lee coming of an injury and his poor performance last year, let’s hope he can return to form from two years ago when he was mentioned for the Cy young. The bullpen should be able to do what they did last year and be solid once again with Betancourt and Joe Bo leading the way.

The Lineup

Grady Sizemore - Gold glover from a year ago and one of the best leadoff hitters in the game.

Asdrubal Cabrera – Rookie last season that helped the Tribe get to the playoffs with his bat and glove, look for him to have a good year, his number might be down this year coming in to his sophmore season as the league figures out how to pitch to him.

Vic Martinez – nothing to say hear he will be ready and could make a run for MVP.

Travis Hafner – Well this is what happens when pros get married, to many other things going on in his head. Look for him to adjust and get back to old form.

Johonny Peralta – With his bat he led the Indians deep into the playoffs, defense can be a problem with his range from right to left.

Ryan Garko – Solidied the firstbase position, not a great glove but he gets the job done. With his bat look for Garko to have a solid season producing HR’s and RBI’s

Casey Blake – haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! over 6 million a year, if Andy Marte wasn’t a stiff Blake would not have this job. While his Glove in the hot corner is great, his bat can be awful at times, but he is a leader and should have a solid year again.

Franklin Gutierrez – great defensivly in right field with a well above avg. arm. Young guy looking to improve with a alot of pop in his bat.

Jason Michaels and David Dellucci – well I do not have anything to say about these two except for Mark Shapiro. Get your head out of you butt and Ben Francisco will be starting in left field. He is hitting over .400 in spring training and eventually i believe he will be starting in left field soon.

Tourney Time

With all of the number one seads in the sweet sixteen for the fourth staright year the tourney is crazier than ever. The Tarheels of Carolina look prime to be in the final four along with Kansas. Ucla survived their scare against Texas A&M with some help from the officials. I look for Memphis to be the first number one out this year. They play the Michigan State Spartans who pose a great match up. They are deep on the inside and should match up well with Memphis’s Dozier and Dorsey. The leader of the Spartans Tom Izzo is a great coach and with the help of their captain and floor general Drew Nietzel, look for MSU to pull the upset.
